In Yonkers Unions Make the Tide Rise: Non-union workers in Yonkers get pay hike

YONKERS — Nonunionized municipal employees will get their first raise in three years, city officials announced.
Recent agreements for unionized municipal workers include a five-year deal reached in August 2005 that gave a 12.5 percent raise to 330 members of the SEIU, which includes librarians, dispatchers and clerical workers.
