SAN DIEGO -- About 9,000 teachers and other staff [including librarians] will get a 5.78 percent raise under a tentative deal reached between the San Diego Education Association and the San Diego Unified School District, 10News reported.
The pay raise is part of a two-year agreement and would be retroactive to July 1. Next year, there will be another round of negotiations that could lead to further salary adjustments, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
