University of Saskatchewan Faculty Association -602 Days Without a Contract

The Star Phoenix reports: "With a strike vote looming, it appears major progress has been made in the negotiations between the University of Saskatchewan Faculty Association (USFA) and the U of S bargaining team. After the two parties met on Wednesday, the faculty association tabled a proposal that features compromises on two major sticking points: money and workload."

The faculty association represents more than 1,000 U of S professors, instructors, lecturers, librarians and extension specialists, whose last contract expired 19 months ago. Their strike vote is scheduled for March 3 at Prairieland Park.

A letter to members at the USFA website gives details.
