The Librarians' Guild represents the professional
librarians of the Los Angeles Public Library. It is
Local 2626 of AFSCME (American Federation of State,
County & Municipal Employees). It is a member of AFSCME
District Council 36. The Librarians' Guild is both a
labor union and an organization representing
the professional concerns of librarians.
